Bad Bunny Cast in Netflix’s ‘Happy Gilmore 2’

Bad Bunny has officially joined the cast of Happy Gilmore 2, a highly anticipated sequel to the beloved 1996 sports comedy.

Netflix confirmed on Tuesday that the Puerto Rican singer and rapper, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, will take part in this new film.

The original Happy Gilmore starred Adam Sandler as Happy Gilmore, a hockey player who finds fame in the world of golf. Sandler is not only reprising his role but has also co-written and produced the sequel.

Returning to their original roles are Christopher McDonald and Julie Bowen, who play Shooter McGavin and Virginia Venit, respectively. In an exciting twist, NFL star Travis Kelce is set to make a cameo appearance.

Netflix first announced the sequel back in May. Recently, Sandler took to Instagram to share that production for Happy Gilmore 2 has officially begun.

He posted a photo that stated, “It ain’t over. The way I see it… we’ve only just begun,” alongside a glimpse of the costume rack from the set.

Tim Herlihy, who co-wrote the original film, has collaborated on the screenplay for the sequel, with Dennis Dugan returning as an executive producer. The film will be produced by Jack Giarraputo and Robert Simonds, while Kyle Newacheck is set to direct.
