Bad Bunny Cast in Netflix’s ‘Happy Gilmore 2’

Bad Bunny has officially joined the cast of Happy Gilmore 2, a highly anticipated sequel to the beloved 1996 sports comedy.

Netflix confirmed on Tuesday that the Puerto Rican singer and rapper, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, will take part in this new film.

The original Happy Gilmore starred Adam Sandler as Happy Gilmore, a hockey player who finds fame in the world of golf. Sandler is not only reprising his role but has also co-written and produced the sequel.

Returning to their original roles are Christopher McDonald and Julie Bowen, who play Shooter McGavin and Virginia Venit, respectively. In an exciting twist, NFL star Travis Kelce is set to make a cameo appearance.

Netflix first announced the sequel back in May. Recently, Sandler took to Instagram to share that production for Happy Gilmore 2 has officially begun.

He posted a photo that stated, “It ain’t over. The way I see it… we’ve only just begun,” alongside a glimpse of the costume rack from the set.

Tim Herlihy, who co-wrote the original film, has collaborated on the screenplay for the sequel, with Dennis Dugan returning as an executive producer. The film will be produced by Jack Giarraputo and Robert Simonds, while Kyle Newacheck is set to direct.

Details regarding the release date of Happy Gilmore 2 are still under wraps, leaving fans eager to learn when they can watch this comedic revival.

Bad Bunny is not new to the world of acting. He has made a name for himself in music with hits like “Mayores,” featuring Becky G, “I Like It,” a collaboration with Cardi B and J Balvin, and “Mia,” which he performed with Drake. His previous film roles include appearances in Bullet Train and Cassandro.

The collaboration of Bad Bunny with Adam Sandler has generated considerable excitement, as both artists have a strong following in their respective fields. Fans are highly anticipating the comedic chemistry this new project will offer.

With the return of familiar faces and the addition of new talent, Happy Gilmore 2 aims to revitalize the charm and humor that made the original film a classic. As production progresses, viewers are left to wonder how this film will blend nostalgia with fresh storylines and characters.

The dynamic partnership between music and film continues to thrive, with stars like Bad Bunny bridging the gap between different entertainment mediums. Their combined star power is sure to attract a wide audience and create buzz as the film nears its release.

Fans of both Bad Bunny and Adam Sandler will be closely watching for updates as production moves forward on this sequel that many believe has great potential to delight audiences.
