Black man in handcuffs pleaded with police, saying ‘I can’t breathe,’ moments before his death

Ohio authorities released body camera footage of the arrest of a 53-year-old Black man, Frank Tyson, who died after telling police officers “I can’t breathe” as they pinned him down. The video is reminiscent of George Floyd’s murder. Officers arrived at a bar to find Tyson, who resisted arrest, leading to a struggle. While handcuffed, Tyson continued to say he couldn’t breathe. Despite pleas for help, Tyson eventually became unresponsive. Medical assistance was called, and Tyson was pronounced dead at the hospital. The officers involved are on paid leave while an independent investigation is ongoing.
