Boston police disperse protests at Emerson College, 108 arrested at pro-Palestinian camp, with 4 officers injured

Boston Police arrested over 100 people at Emerson College, clearing out pro-Palestinian protesters early Thursday. Four officers were injured, with non-life-threatening injuries. Protesters were warned to leave the alley they were camping in, a public right of way, violating city ordinances. Students were arrested after refusing to comply. Some students felt police were too aggressive. Emerson College cancelled classes for the day, urging compliance with the law. Other pro-Palestinian protests occurred at Columbia University and other Boston area campuses. The ACLU criticized the police response and emphasized the right to peaceful expression.
