Formula 1 and Apple Original Films have released exciting new details about their upcoming F1 film, starring the renowned Brad Pitt.
The forthcoming movie will be titled F1 and is set to open in theaters on June 25, 2025, internationally, and June 27, 2025, in North America.
In the film, Pitt portrays Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula 1 driver who is drawn back into the high-speed world of Formula 1, partnering with a new rookie teammate, Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris from Snowfall.
The cast further includes notable names such as Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo.
Finally, it’s official—Brad Pitt stars in F1, coming to cinemas summer 2025.

Filming for F1 has been conducted at authentic Formula 1 events, including during this Sunday’s British Grand Prix. A first teaser trailer for the movie is expected to be released just before the race.
Apple had previously revealed a Chip Hart Racing Porsche for the film in January.
F1 is penned by Ehren Kruger and directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for films like Tron: Legacy and Top Gun: Maverick. The production team includes Brad Pitt, Jerry Bruckheimer, Dede Gardner, and renowned Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton.
Following its theatrical release, the film will be available for streaming on Apple TV+.
