Breakthrough in Cold Case as DNA Connects Teen Murdered 50 Years Ago to Mother of 9/11 Victim in Midtown Jane Doe Investigation

Authorities have identified the remains of a New York City teenager known as “Midtown Jane Doe” as Patricia Kathleen McGlone, a 16-year-old who disappeared in late 1969 or early 1970. McGlone’s body was found encased in concrete under a Manhattan building in 2003. Police used advanced forensics and DNA analysis to link her to a 9/11 victim’s mother. McGlone was described as a runaway and truant but had been married before her disappearance. An active homicide investigation is now underway, and police are seeking information from anyone who knew her. No suspects have been named yet.
