Cardi B Walks NYC Alone: “Nobody’s Gonna Touch Me”

Cardi B is confident that she’s safe in her native New York. The Grammy-winning rapper was recorded by a passerby walking the streets of Manhattan without security this week.

The TikTok video finds the mother of two wearing a fitted black maxi dress, highlighting her baby bump. She was seen carrying and sipping a green juice while on the phone.

“I WAS SHOOK…even Cardi B loves her starbies,” wrote @sheshortsweet on TikTok of the capture. Cardi later clarified that she was not drinking Starbucks.

In reaction to the clip, the “Enough (Miami)” rapper shared via X/Twitter that she was confident she wouldn’t need security for an early morning food run, and ventured out on her own.

“It was like 9am and I was hungry …..also nobody finna touch me,” she insisted.

She also responded to fans insisting she should move more carefully as a public figure. One fan wrote, “Cardi, get 24/7 security, you just never know, people are crazy. Unfortunately, we can’t trust this world.”

“My house got 24/7 security… I’m very spontaneous and I like my privacy. Sometimes I want to go to the deli or make a quick target run. I’m not waiting around till security come… ALSO I ALWAYS ALWAYS GOT SOMETHING ON ME!” Cardi replied.

The sighting comes one week after the rapper, who recently filed for divorce from Offset, admitted that she hated living in his native Atlanta during their marriage.

“I only go to Atlanta like three or four times a year,” she explained. “And probably I go for a week, maybe less. I tried to move to Atlanta in 2018 and I lived there for like six months. And I hated it. I don’t have not one friend in Atlanta, and I don’t have not even one family member in Atlanta. So I just don’t like Atlanta.”

The star is currently searching for a new residence in New York.
