Carrie Underwood Leads Worship Flawlessly at Local Church

Carrie Underwood has never shied away from her faith in God, and she put her passion on full display while leading worship at a local Tennessee church on Sunday morning (Aug. 11).

The country singer took the stage with the worship team at Rolling Hills Community Church in Franklin, Tenn. She led the congregation in a stirring rendition of Bethel Music’s “Goodness of God.”

“‘Cause all my life You have been faithful / And all my life You have been so, so good / With every breath that I am able / Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God,” Underwood belts out in the chorus — you need to watch her performance:

Fans have been flooding the comments section of the video, shared by @bethelmusicbelievers on Instagram and by church-goers on TikTok. They’re especially loving Underwood’s show of faith.

“Chills!!!!” one writes.

“Just literal chills,” another says, agreeing. “I have loved her voice for years but it’s extremely obvious her passion for God and her faith is genuine. Makes this pastors kid emotional for sure.”

“Tears and chills,” one person adds. “This is sincere worship! Loooove this so much. Best reel on the Internet. Hands Down! I love Carrie and her heart for Jesus. She will not compromise her faith for the things of this world. I’m so grateful for that. Looking for a worship album from her soon!!”

“What a humble heart Ms Carrie Underwood has! Love she is giving Glory to God, for He is the one who gave her the gift to sing. I love she honors Him! And not ashamed!” another notes.

While the “Jesus Take the Wheel” singer has yet to write her own worship album, she has taken a swing at the classics. Her My Savior project is a compilation of 13 gospel songs and hymns.

The LP was released in March 2021, following the release of her Christmas collection, My Gift. It received the Grammy Award for Best Roots Gospel Album in 2022 and was also nominated for Top Christian Album at the Billboard Music Awards that year.
