Cate Blanchett Stuns in Armani Privé and Polka Dot Moschino at Venice 2024

Cate Blanchett has turned the red carpets of the Venice Film Festival into her own personal runway during the 2024 showcase for the film industry. The two-time Oscar-winning actress donned an array of designer outfits for various events at the festival, which concludes on Sept. 7.

On the official second day of the film festival, Blanchett chose a Moschino suit from the Italian luxury fashion house’s fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection for a photo call for the series “Disclaimer,” in which she stars. The suit, which made its debut at Milan Fashion Week last February, featured a double-breasted blazer and matching trousers.

The ensemble featured a black base with large white polka dots, one of the “familiar witticisms from founder Franco Moschino,” as described by WWD’s Miles Socha. She paired the suit with pointed-toe black heels and a white button-down shirt with a sharp collar.

For the first major red carpet of the 2024 Venice Film Festival — the premiere of Tim Burton’s “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” — Blanchett wore a stunning strapless gown by Armani Privé. The champagne-colored, form-fitting dress featured a tiered design with micro pearls lining each horizontal tier of the gown.

Blanchett paired the gown with a dazzling Louis Vuitton necklace adorned with pearls and diamonds that elegantly framed her shoulders. She has been a global ambassador for Louis Vuitton, specifically for their high jewelry pieces, since June 2022.
