Two charter buses carrying around 85 children were involved in a crash on I-85 in Gaston County. The crash occurred around 9:40 a.m. on the northbound side near East Ozark Avenue. One bus went off the road and into the woods, resulting in the driver and some students sustaining injuries. The students from Gettys Middle School in Easley, S.C., were on their way to Carowinds for a field trip. The NC Department of Transportation closed one lane in the area.
