Chris Olsen Reveals Nonconsensual Explicit Photos Taken When He Was 19

Chris Olsen, the popular TikTok star, has spoken out about the nonconsensual sharing of his explicit photos, detailing that they were taken when he was just 19 years old. In a heartfelt statement posted on Instagram and TikTok on August 11, the 26-year-old clarified that he never agreed to the release of these photos or videos online.

Olsen described the circumstances under which the photos were taken, stating that he was recently sober at the time. “When I got sober, I lost a lot of weight and started working out. I began feeling good about how I looked physically for the first time in my life,” Olsen explained. His fitness photos on Instagram earned him a significant following, attracting the attention of photographers who wanted to collaborate with him.

“Photographers would reach out, and we’d take photos together; it was usually mutually beneficial, and no money was involved,” Olsen said. While most of these experiences were positive, there was one session where things took a turn for the worse. The photographer in question asked Olsen to sign a release for the photos, which he was told was standard practice, before making him undress completely for the shoot.

“Being 19 and unfamiliar with the entertainment world, I went along with it without fully understanding what I was doing,” Olsen revealed. He admitted that he didn’t know how to refuse because he felt the photographer held all the power. “I had no idea how to stand up for myself.”

Olsen reflected on how he felt violated during that session. “I was supposed to know how to say no, make the right decisions. Yet, here I was, letting myself be violated, trying to show my discomfort, physically moving away, trying to find excuses to not spend any more time around him, but never saying ‘No.’”

After the photoshoot, the photographer posted the explicit images on a paid platform. Although the exact details of the photoshoot remain undisclosed, the photos were quickly screenshotted and circulated online, triggering painful recollections for Olsen, especially after another traumatic experience he had during high school.

Olsen expressed that dealing with the situation has been challenging and has caused him to regress into unhealthy habits. Nonetheless, he remains firm in his stance. “I do not want these things to circulate anymore, and I hope that’s enough,” he stated.

Voicing his struggle with self-forgiveness, Olsen added, “I’m in the process of forgiving myself, and I hope you can try to forgive me too.”

Chris Olsen first shared his heartbreaking experience of what he calls “revenge porn” in a TikTok video posted on July 23. He revealed he is still grappling with the images circulating online, despite his continuous efforts to have them removed.

In a video, Olsen described the ordeal as nonconsensual, violating, and illegal. Despite the ongoing spread of these images, he says he has become almost numb to the situation, which he finds even more disturbing because it happens to many people.

“For a long time, I tried to avoid the negativity because I thought if I respond to it, if I play into the negativity, it makes them win,” Olsen elaborated. “And so I didn’t do that for the longest time, and I still felt like they were winning.”

However, through this challenging period, Olsen has found immense support from friends, family, and followers. He now shares that he has “received the support that I need” and has “never felt better” or “happier.”
