Comedian Chad Daniels Offers Parenting Tips

This past summer, Chad Daniels was thrilled to debut his 10th comedy special, Empty Nester.

As the title implies, this special is one of his most genuine and personal works to date.

“This is as close to my real life as you’ll get,” Daniels shared with Chuck Armstrong on Loudwire Nights on Thursday, August 29. “It’s what I went through. My daughter went to school. My son got married. I started dating — there’s a lot of stuff going on.”

During this transitional phase into becoming an empty nester, Daniels couldn’t help but find humor in every situation.

“I couldn’t even put my notebook back in my pocket because it was like, ‘Oh, this would be funny. Oh, this would be a good idea.’ So, I wrote it all down and here we are.”

While discussing Empty Nester in detail with the Loudwire Nights crowd, Daniels offered some humorous wisdom he had gained during his reflections.

“If I can give you any advice about having young kids, it is stop loving them right now so it doesn’t hurt as bad when they leave.”

Aside from exploring his new special, Daniels touched on several other interesting topics during his Loudwire Nights appearance:

  • The experience of being one of the pioneering comedians to achieve success through Pandora.
  • An amusing story of an audience member stepping into his onstage spot to deliver one of his jokes.
  • His views on crowd work and social media.

Chad Daniels joined Loudwire Nights on Thursday, August 29. The show is available for replay online, and airs live every weeknight at 7 PM ET via the Loudwire app. It is also accessible on various local radio stations, and listeners can enjoy interviews on-demand.
