Community of Gage Park and Chicago Police Department grieve the loss of another fallen officer

The Chicago Police Department and the Gage Park community are mourning the loss of officer Luis M. Huesca, who was shot and killed at the age of 31 in the city’s Southwest Side. The community honored Huesca with a mass at St. Gall Catholic Church followed by a walk to the crime scene where he lost his life. Huesca’s vehicle was stolen, but no suspects have been taken into custody. This incident is not the first in Gage Park, where officers have lost their lives. Residents expressed shock, as the neighborhood is usually quiet, and police are calling for information to solve the case.
