Complete Guide to Hallmark+

There’s an exciting transformation happening in the streaming world! Hallmark Movies Now is set to become Hallmark+ by this fall. Fans of Hallmark’s heartwarming content should be delighted by this revamped service, which offers a broader range of content and unique benefits.

Hallmark Movies Now has long been a bit of a misnomer since the Hallmark brand encompasses more than just movies. Popular TV shows like “When Calls the Heart” and “The Way Home” are testimony to Hallmark’s expansion into television. This transition to Hallmark+ reflects the brand’s broader range of entertainment offerings.

However, subscribers should note that Hallmark+ will come with a new pricing structure. As reported by Variety, the monthly subscription will increase to $7.99, a rise from the current $5.99 for Hallmark Movies Now. Annual subscriptions will be priced at $79.99.

One intriguing aspect of Hallmark+ is its membership benefits program. Subscribers can earn points by watching content, which can be redeemed in Hallmark stores. This provides added value beyond just access to streaming content. The program includes monthly $5 Hallmark Gold Crown Store coupons, free unlimited eCards, rewards for shopping, and surprise gifts.

Hallmark’s Chief Brand Officer Darren Abbott explained that the rebranding ties together Hallmark’s retail and digital presence, aimed at inspiring users’ lives through content and offering tangible rewards. CEO Mike Perry emphasized the interconnected nature of viewers and shoppers, which Hallmark+ aims to leverage.

Fans of Hallmark’s TV channels need not worry. Programming from Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Family, and Hallmark Mystery will remain available on Peacock, including live channels, on-demand movies for 30 days, and the latest TV show seasons. It’s unclear whether Hallmark+ originals will also be available on Peacock or other linear channels.

The content lineup for Hallmark+ includes a mix of original series, reality shows, and movie trilogies. Here’s a look at what you can expect:

“The Chicken Sisters” is an eight-episode series based on K.J. Dell’Antonia’s book, featuring feuding chicken restaurants in a cooking competition.

“Holidazed” is Hallmark’s first holiday TV series centered on six families living in the same cul-de-sac, celebrating the season in different cultural ways. Expect humor and heartwarming moments.

“Mistletoe Murders” stars Sarah Drew and follows a store owner who solves murders in her small town while hiding a secret past.

“Finding Mr. Christmas” is a reality competition where aspiring actors compete for a lead role in a Hallmark Christmas movie. The show is hosted by Jonathan Bennett with Melissa Peterman as the main judge.

“Celebrations with Lacey Chabert” spotlights people who give back to their communities, with Chabert organizing celebratory bashes in just three days.

“Ready, Set, Glow!” is hosted by Wes Brown and showcases stunning festive light displays across the country.

The “Groomsmen” movie trilogy offers a male perspective on weddings and features three best friends finding love in picturesque locations.

“Love on the Danube” is a trio of romantic comedies set in Europe, featuring cruise ship adventures, castle dances, and wine cellar visits.

“Small Town Setup” is a reality dating series where parents try to set up their adult children to lure them back to their small towns. Hosted by Ashley Williams, the show engages the entire community in matchmaking.

“Home is Where the Heart is,” hosted by Luke Macfarlane, is a home renovation show helping families transform their beloved properties into beautiful homes.

With such a diverse range of content, Hallmark+ promises to offer something for everyone. Be on the lookout for the launch of Hallmark+ in September.
