This week is set to be an exciting one for DC Multiverse McFarlane Toys collectors. The highly anticipated Batman Forever Batmobile vehicle will debut on August 15, followed closely by a brand-new wave of figures in the McFarlane Collector lineup on August 16. The new Collector wave will feature a battle-damaged Batman (The Dark Knight Returns), Huntress (The New 52), and Green Lantern (Green Lantern Corps) with interchangeable head sculpts for Tomar-Re and Abin Sur.

Collectors can mark their calendars, as pre-orders for these figures will go live at Entertainment Earth on August 16, starting at 9 am PT / 12 pm ET. Don’t miss out on free shipping in the US for orders over $59. We anticipate a case option will be available for serious collectors. Currently, The Brave and the Bold is somewhat of a mystery. However, DC Studios is kicking off the James Gunn and Peter Safran era with several exciting plans. One of the major announcements involves their new Batman project that has long-time fans buzzing with anticipation. This upcoming film will revolve around a Bat-Family-centric take on The Caped Crusader, specifically featuring Damian Wayne in live-action.

James Gunn shared some insights about the new Batman project: “This is the introduction of the DCU’s Batman. This is the story of Damian Wayne, who is Batman’s actual son whom we didn’t know existed for the first eight to ten years of his life. He was raised as a little murderer and assassin. He’s a little son of a bitch. He’s my favorite Robin. It’s based on the Grant Morrison comic book’s run, which is one of my favorite Batman runs, and we are putting that all together right now.”

Adding to the enthusiasm, Peter Safran mentioned, “And this is obviously a feature film, and it’s going to feature other members of the extended ‘Bat-Family,’ just because we feel like they’ve been left out of the Batman stories in the theater for far too long.”
