David Pecker testified in former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial, revealing details of their “mutually beneficial” agreement during Trump’s 2016 campaign. Pecker admitted to running positive stories about Trump and negative stories about his opponents, including Ted Cruz and Ben Carson. He also described paying $30,000 to a doorman for the exclusive rights to a story about a love child Trump allegedly had. Pecker, along with Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen, arranged to bury negative stories, like the one involving Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal. Trump faced contempt charges for violating a gag order related to the trial. Pecker’s testimony is set to continue on Thursday.
