Deadpool Is a Fanboy of Fairy Tail

Deadpool has officially made his grand return to manga with a new season of Deadpool: Samurai chapters, and some fresh cover art reveals that Deadpool is a fan of Fairy Tail as well. Deadpool: Samurai initially concluded in 2022 with two volumes that featured Deadpool leading a team of Japan-exclusive heroes against some unique adversaries. Yet, earlier this month, fans were pleasantly surprised when a new wave of Deadpool: Samurai was announced, initially masquerading as a romantic comedy manga series until Deadpool made his chaotic entrance.

Written by Sanshiro Kasama with illustrations by Hikaru Uesugi, Deadpool: Samurai Season 2 has commenced a new storyline. In this arc, Deadpool returns to Japan after discovering that a hero he had previously collaborated with has seemingly been killed. New chapters of this manga series are now available to Shonen Jump fans globally. The Shonen Jump Plus website even updated with special new artwork that displays Deadpool enjoying Fairy Tail, which interestingly, belongs to another company’s magazine.

Written by Sanshiro Kasama with art by Hikaru Uesugi, Deadpool: Samurai is now releasing new chapters via Viz Media’s Viz Manga service. You can check out the latest releases for free or access the back catalog with a paid subscription. “Season 2” of this new arc begins with Chapter 16, and the first two volumes, which compile the initial 15 chapters, are already available for reading on shelves. Viz Media describes the series: “Anyway, Deadpool lands in Tokyo with a bang! What could possibly go wrong when Iron Man invites Deadpool to join the Avengers’ new Samurai Squad? After all, Deadpool is just in it for the money…and the trip to Japan. This is fine, right?”

As for Fairy Tail, the series has also made a remarkable comeback, thanks to a new sequel anime releasing episodes this summer. This sequel, entitled Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, is streaming exclusively on Crunchyroll, where you can also find the entire original series. The new series picks up right where the original anime left off and follows Natsu, Lucy, and the rest of the gang as they face their most formidable challenges yet.

Deadpool’s irreverent style and Fairy Tail’s adventurous spirit make this crossover of sorts an entertaining treat for fans of both series. The unexpected blend of Marvel’s anti-hero with the magical world of Fairy Tail shows the limitless nature of storytelling within the manga universe. Whether you’re a long-time Deadpool enthusiast or a Fairy Tail devotee, there is plenty to enjoy in this exciting new season of Deadpool: Samurai.

With new chapters unfolding, it will be intriguing to see how Deadpool manages his shenanigans in Japan this time around. His relationship with local heroes and the crossover elements promise a delightful mix of humor, action, and manga-style drama. The special cover art showing Deadpool reading Fairy Tail adds an extra layer of fun and connectivity between fan-favorite series from different universes.

Overall, the new season of Deadpool: Samurai is shaping up to be just as engaging and entertaining as the first, if not more. It’s a fresh reminder of why manga fans love these characters and their wild, unpredictable adventures. So if you haven’t yet, it’s time to dive back into the world of Deadpool: Samurai and relish the madness that only this unique anti-hero can bring.
