Deborra-Lee Furness Stuns at New York A-List Party Post-Hugh Jackman Split

Deborra-Lee Furness seems to be relishing her newfound single life following her recent separation from actor Hugh Jackman. The 68-year-old actress was seen enjoying herself at an exclusive party in the Hamptons, a renowned getaway for America’s elite.

Furness appeared at ease as she mingled among the high-profile guests at the opulent affair, hosted by luxury designer Brunello Cucinelli and the Wölffer Estate winery. The event took place in Sagaponack, New York, approximately 160 kilometers from Manhattan.

Dressed appropriately for the summer weather, Deborra-Lee wore a brown sleeveless top paired with white loose-fitting slacks and a mesh-knit coal cardigan. Her blonde hair was styled in a short cut, and she accessorized with designer sunglasses, gold and pearl earrings, an enameled ring, and a matching armband.

This public appearance comes on the heels of Furness revealing her mixed feelings about her future following her shocking split from Hugh Jackman in September. In an interview with Adelaide Now in January, she admitted feeling both excited and frightened about the changes ahead but was embracing this new chapter.

“It is kind of exciting,” she confessed. “Change, transition, evolution is a little frightening, and we are all a bit scared of it, but I think it is probably our greatest gift.”

Furness is set to return to the screen in “Force of Nature: The Dry 2,” where she co-stars with Eric Bana in the sequel to the 2020 mystery film. She also has multiple projects in the pipeline, including a script she is writing with Rebecca Rigg, which she intends to direct and act in.

“I’ve got a few projects up my sleeve,” Deborra-Lee said in an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle. “I’m working on a script with Rebecca Rigg, which I want to direct and act in.” She hinted at potential sequels involving characters she has played in previous works, stating, “Hey, maybe another sequel from a character I played many years ago in ‘Shame.'”

Hugh Jackman, 55, and Deborra-Lee Furness shocked fans when they announced their split in September after 27 years of marriage. The couple shared a joint statement, saying they had decided to separate to focus on their individual growth while expressing gratitude for their nearly three decades together.

“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together in a wonderful, loving marriage,” the statement read. “Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth. The statement was signed as “Deb and Hugh Jackman,” and they noted it would be the only comment they made on the matter. The couple met on the set of “Correlli” in 1995 and married a year later in 1996. Throughout their marriage, they adopted two children: a son, Oscar, now 23, and a daughter, Ava, now 18.
