Deputy Sheriff in Los Angeles County Shot Near 10 Freeway

A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy was shot on the 10 Freeway in West Covina, authorities confirmed. The deputy, assigned to a motorcycle unit, was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the back and is in stable condition. The westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway were closed near Barranca Street. Authorities are investigating and looking into a person of interest.
