Driver of vehicle involved in death of 6-year-old Aiden Leos pleads guilty, released after serving time

Wynne Lee, who was driving the car when her boyfriend shot and killed a 6-year-old boy on the 55 Freeway in 2021, pleaded guilty to a felony for accessory after the fact and one misdemeanor count of having a concealed firearm in a vehicle. Due to her court-ordered at-home confinement since June 21, 2021, she was released after being sentenced to the maximum of three years for the felony and one year for the misdemeanor. District Attorney Todd Spitzer criticized the law that allowed her release without serving time in jail. Her boyfriend, Marcus Anthony Eriz, was sentenced to 40-years-to-life for the murder.
