Duration and Start Time of The Bachelorette Season 21 Premiere

Who’s ready to fall in love? Jenn Tran certainly is! It’s The Bachelor alum’s turn to be whisked away to beautiful locales, wined and dined, and treated like the love of her suitors’ lives because that’s what they’re hoping she’ll be.

Tran has spoken about how affirming being the Bachelorette has been for her as an Asian woman. It’s not often that we see women of color at the center of reality love stories where they are the sole focus. And, while The Bachelor franchise has a long way to go when it comes to making sure their talent of color feel protected and valued, on top of being put in the spotlight, moves are being made to continue to diversify whose love stories are told.

That being said, if you’re new to Bachelor Nation and you’ve only seen The Golden Bachelor, let me warn you now that The Bachelorette is not that kind of show. While there will be heartwarming moments, and likely tears shed during vulnerable conversations, there’s sure to be more mess in this tale than one might be used to from the weekly one hour program.

Speaking of the time! Here’s when you’ll need to be seated tonight to watch the episode and for how long because this will not be the kind of series that’ll have you in and out.

Jenn Tran’s love story kicks off Monday, July 8 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. You’ll need to block out two hours of time to watch the episode. This will likely be the case for the majority of the season, though we may be in for a three hour episode as we get closer to the season finale. We’ll keep you posted on any schedule changes.

If you can’t watch live, The Bachelorette does stream on Hulu. New episodes release Tuesdays. According to our sister site Show Snob, episodes typically release around 5 a.m. ET. Though, word to the wise, there have been instances when an episode didn’t become available until later in the morning.

This season, we can expect to be in a new mansion as Jenn and her suitors pursue their quest for love. As for jet-setting, we’ll be taken to Australia, New Zealand, and more along with them. With what The Bachelorette has in store for us, this is sure to be a season to remember.
