Emergency State Expanded to Include More Counties

Gov. Kevin Stitt declared a state of emergency for 12 counties in Oklahoma following tornadoes that resulted in four deaths. The declaration was expanded to include more counties such as Carter, Garfield, and Lincoln. It also suspends size and weight limits for oversized vehicles responding to help with power restoration. The storms caused multiple tornadoes from Saturday morning into Sunday. The Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed four storm-related deaths in places like Holdenville and Marietta. There have been 296 reported injuries from the storms, including burns and transportation-related injuries. The state of emergency will be in effect for 30 days.
