Eminem’s daughter, Hailie Jade, has shared her emotional response to her father’s recent music dedicated to her and her siblings. She revealed that she cries “every time” she hears the song “Somebody Save Me.”

On a recent episode of her podcast, Just A Little Shady, co-hosted with Brittany, Hailie discussed her reaction to the music video. “I watched it in its entirety, and I don’t think I can do it again. I definitely cried,” she disclosed, adding that she “refuses to watch it again.”

Hailie continued to express her feelings, saying, “Between that and ‘Temporary,’… I can’t, I audibly sobbed.”

“Somebody Save Me,” a collaboration with Jelly Roll, is an apology song from Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers. In the song, he opens up about choosing drugs over his children during his addiction struggles.

With lines like, “Another pill as I start to spiral, a message to my daughters, I don’t even deserve the father title,” the song is intensely personal. Eminem apologizes for missing significant moments in Hailie’s life, such as her first guitar recital and not walking her down the aisle at her wedding in May 2024.

The music video includes home footage of Eminem’s children growing up.

“I will say, watching the video back and listening to the songs, I feel like my parents did such a good job growing up where I didn’t realize how bad things were,” Hailie added.

“Now, as an adult, in hindsight, it’s so scary to think about,” she said, expressing how the past events of their family life affect her emotionally.

Hailie, on the verge of tears, shared that she still finds some joy in the video because it allows her to see clips of her siblings. “The older I get, the less I can listen to any of the songs,” she admitted.

Aside from “Somebody Save Me,” Eminem has also dedicated other songs to Hailie, such as “Mockingbird” and “Hailie’s Song.”

Eminem is also the father of adopted daughter Alaina Marie, who is the daughter of his ex-wife Kim Scott’s late twin sister, Dawn. Additionally, he adopted Stevie, Kim’s biological child from her relationship with tattoo artist Eric Harttner.

Alaina lived most of her life with Kim and Eminem, while Stevie was adopted by the rapper in 2005 when he and Kim rekindled their romance.

Eminem marked 16 years of sobriety in April by posting a photo of himself holding his Alcoholics Anonymous chip.

In May 2024, Eminem attended Hailie’s wedding to her longtime boyfriend, Evan McClintock. The couple, who met while attending Michigan State University, had a beautiful ceremony. Hailie wore a floor-length white strapless mermaid gown with a sweetheart neckline, a dramatic veil with a long train, and a ruffled bottom. Evan opted for a classic black tuxedo and was visibly emotional in one of the photos Hailie shared with fans.
