Emory Professor Caroline Fohlin’s Head Slammed Into Concrete by Cop, Resulting in Battery Charge

An economics professor at Emory University was violently arrested during a pro-Palestine protest, with charges of battery against a police officer filed against her. A video captured the officer forcefully shoving a student’s head into the sidewalk as the professor yelled at them to stop. Despite not causing harm to the officers, the professor was flipped onto the ground and handcuffed. Charges of disorderly conduct and battery were filed against her, but there is a chance they may be dropped. This incident is part of a trend of increased security on campuses disrupting peaceful protests and threatening the safety of students and faculty.
