Ex-police officer accused of murder and abduction discovered with self-inflicted gunshot wound following manhunt, officials reveal

A man suspected of killing two women and kidnapping a 1-year-old child in Washington was found in Oregon with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The suspect, Elias Huizar, a former police officer, fled the scene of a deadly shooting at an elementary school. The child was safely taken into custody. Huizar allegedly shot one woman outside the school before another victim was found at his home. Huizar had a history of sexual assault charges. Police believed he was heading to Mexico with the child, prompting a search for him and issuing an Amber Alert.
