On February 28, the second part of the science fiction saga “Dune” premiered, starring actor Timothee Chalamet.
“Dune Part Two” is the sequel to one of the greatest film hits of 2021, and displaying its reputation as a “problematic” saga, its premiere had to be postponed several times, initially due to covid and then due to commercial strategy.
In this new chapter, Canadian director Denis Villeneuve once again uses the cast that brought him box office and critical success, with Chalamet, Zendaya, the Spanish Javier Bardem, Rebecca Ferguson, and Josh Brolin, to which Lea Seydoux and Austin Butler are added.
Timothee Chalamet plays Prince Paul Atreides who, after fleeing a massacre with his mother, joins a band of fugitives on the arid planet Dune, where the only weapon that seems capable of defeating the bloodthirsty Empire are gigantic worms that live in the sand.
But Atreides, who little by little becomes the messiah of the planet’s original inhabitants, must at the same time fight his own demons.
“Paul becomes a leader internally,” Chalamet explained. “The most important thing for a man of power is what he keeps inside,” added the young actor.
