Student protests against the Israel-Hamas war have increased on several college campuses after over 100 demonstrators were arrested at Columbia University. Protests at different universities have included clashes with police and campus closures. Students are demanding universities cut ties with companies aiding Israel’s military efforts. Protests are student-led but influenced by actions at other institutions. Examples include Columbia University with pro-Palestinian students demonstrating and University of Texas at Austin with dozens arrested by police. Similar protests occurred at University of Southern California, Ohio State University, Harvard University, and others. ARRESTS occurred at California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt, Emerson College, New York University, University of Michigan, University of Minnesota, Yale University, and University of California, Berkeley.
