Protesters at Portland State University occupied Millar Library resulting in damages and destruction, with vandalism such as graffiti, broken glass, and smashed computers seen throughout the building. Despite the damage, the books in the library were untouched. The crowd outside the library grew to about 100 people with an open mic night happening. The protestors cited individual reasons for being there but had no plans to leave. Reporters were only allowed to take photos without faces shown. Portland State University remained closed, with the Board of Trustees having an emergency meeting that was not reported on by the media.
