The previous episode left viewers on the edge of their seats with Mimori struggling to survive the ruins. With his MP levels critically low, he faced numerous monsters. However, as one of the monsters died, Mimori received a substantial MP boost by leveling up.

Throughout the ruins, Mimori encountered fallen heroes and prayed for the deceased he found. One notable discovery was a dead couple with money, which he took after offering his respects. Another significant find was the body of a former hero discarded by the goddess after completing his mission. Mimori took the hero’s items and found a helpful spell book, but also a warning about a soul eater.

As Mimori tried to exit the ruins, the soul eater blocked his way, guarding the key to the door. This formidable monster attempted to exploit his humanity by spawning human souls to fight him. Mimori, however, tricked the soul eater into coming close and managed to defeat it. Grateful souls, including the former hero, appeared to thank him for his help, wishing him luck. With the monster defeated, Mimori finally made it out of the ruins.
