Family identifies woman killed in knife attack on Metro train

A woman who was attacked and killed by a transient has been identified as Mirna Soza, a 66-year-old security guard. The incident occurred on a Los Angeles Metro subway train where she was stabbed in the throat with kitchen knives. The suspect, Elliot Tramel Nowden, has a history of attacking Metro passengers and was arrested on suspicion of murder. Nowden has been arrested multiple times for other assaults and was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon in 2019.
