An explosion in South River, New Jersey, resulted in one person dead and another injured in their home on Continental Court. The cause of the explosion is unknown, but it caused significant damage. Gas lines in the neighborhood have been shut down, and neighbors evacuated as a digging crew works to clear debris. The blast was powerful enough to be felt blocks away, with some mistaking it for an earthquake. Investigations are ongoing. Kevin Gilbert, 62, died in the explosion, and another victim was hospitalized. CBS New York was initially told that two people had been killed.
