‘FBI’ Star Departing in Season 7: Will There Be a Replacement?

The long-running CBS series FBI is set to lose a key figure in its upcoming season.

Katherine Renee Kane, a mainstay on the show since Season 3, will soon bid farewell to her role.

According to an exclusive report from Deadline, Kane, who plays Special Agent Tiffany Wallace, will depart during Season 7. Kane joined the cast after the departure of Ebonee Noel, who initially portrayed Kristen Chazal.

“It was time to look towards new creative endeavors,” Kane expressed in a statement to Deadline. “I’m excited for the future and wish the show all the best.”

While no specific reason for her exit has been provided, her character Tiffany, a former NYPD officer and White Collar Division agent, has been crucial to the series.

Created by Dick Wolf and Craig Turk, FBI delves into the operations of the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The show highlights the skills, intellect, and technical expertise of an elite unit tackling major cases to ensure the safety of New York and the nation.

The series boasts an ensemble cast including Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, Alana De La Garza, and John Boyd.

As Kane prepares to exit, Deadline reported that Lisette Olivera, known for her role in National Treasure: Edge of History, has joined the cast. Olivera will portray Syd, “a trained Behavioral Analysis Unit Agent who is about to rotate into the field.” According to production sources, she will assume the role left open by Tiffany, becoming Scola’s (John Boyd) new partner.

Kane is expected to make at least one appearance in Season 7 before her departure.

FBI is set to return for its seventh season on Tuesday, October 15th at 8 p.m. on CBS.
