Former Trump Organization executive testifies in court as judge issues warning to Trump about potential jail time for contempt

A former top executive at the Trump Organization testified in Donald Trump’s criminal trial on Monday after the judge found Trump in criminal contempt for violating a gag order. The judge warned Trump of potential jail time if he continues to violate the order, as this was the 10th time he was found in contempt. The trial involved accusations of falsifying business records to repay lawyer Michael Cohen for a hush money payment. Prosecutors argued that Trump, Cohen, and Pecker conspired to influence the 2016 election, while Trump’s attorney defended the legality of nondisclosure agreements. Trump’s previous violations of the gag order revolved around commentary on witnesses in the case.
