A former Yakima police officer, Elias Huizar, is suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend and his wife before kidnapping a 1-year-old boy, Roman Huizar. The incident occurred at William Wiley Elementary School in West Richland. Elias is described as 5’6”, 170 pounds with brown hair and eyes. An Amber Alert was issued, warning that he is armed and dangerous. A second homicide victim, reported as Huizar’s wife, was found at his residence. Authorities urge anyone with information to call 911. Huizar served as a Yakima officer from 2014-2022 and is believed to pose a significant threat.
