Don’t expect George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino to collaborate again anytime soon. The well-known actor has made it clear he’s quite upset with the famed director.

George provided an update on his relationship with his former “From Dusk Till Dawn” costar in GQ’s September issue. During this, he expressed his frustration with Tarantino for his remarks on Clooney’s big-screen career in the media.

Clooney mentioned that he was “a little irritated” with Tarantino after the director claimed George wasn’t a movie star since he hadn’t had a hit “since the millennium.”

This comment understandably annoyed Clooney, prompting him to respond, “And I was like, ‘Since the millennium? That’s kind of my whole f***ing career.’ So now I’m like, alright, dude, f*** off.”

Adding to the awkwardness, Brad Pitt—another Tarantino collaborator—was present during the GQ interview. Pitt, who stars alongside Clooney in “Wolfs,” offered no further comments but did laugh, which could be interpreted in various ways.

Clooney’s defense of his career is understandable, with a resume that speaks for itself—2 Oscars, 5 Golden Globes, an AFI Life Achievement Award, and a Kennedy Center Honor.

Tarantino also boasts 2 Oscars and 4 Golden Globes, indicating that perhaps his comments were driven by a sense of competition.

Regardless, it seems like there’s a new feud brewing in Hollywood, and it will be interesting to see where this leads. George Clooney certainly isn’t backing down!
