Gwen Stefani Cancels Atlantic City Concert Due to Unspecified Injury

Gwen Stefani fans in New Jersey will need to wait longer to see the “Hollaback Girl” perform. The singer, aged 54, announced on her Instagram Stories this Saturday that she had to reschedule her upcoming show in Atlantic City due to a “recent injury.”

“As a result of a recent injury and in consultation with my doctors, I’ve been advised that I’m not able to perform on August 17 at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City,” Stefani wrote, as reported by People and Fox News.

While Stefani didn’t provide many details about the injury or its severity, she did express her apologies to her fans. She promised that ticket holders would receive an email update from Ticketmaster “as soon as the new show is announced.” She also noted that “current tickets will be valid for the new date,” without mentioning the possibility of a refund.

“I’m so sorry and we are planning to reschedule the show as soon as possible,” she added.

The Hard Rock Live show is not the only upcoming concert on Stefani’s tour. She is scheduled to perform at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Sept. 20, followed by stops in Huntsville, Alabama, on Sept. 28 and Monterrey, Mexico, on Oct. 12.

USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for Stefani for more information.

The former No Doubt singer and coach on NBC’s “The Voice” recently released a new single, “Hello World,” with Ryan Tedder and Anderson .Paak for the Olympic games, which concluded this past Sunday. She will return to coach Season 26 of “The Voice” alongside fellow coaches Reba McEntire, Olympic correspondent Snoop Dogg, and Michael Bublé. The new season returns on Sept. 23 at 8 EDT/PDT.
