Heather El Moussa opens up about bond with Christina Hall’s son in heartfelt post

Despite recent turmoil in her family, it has been a special week for Christina Hall and her children.

The HGTV star, who is currently going through a divorce from her third husband Josh Hall, took a break from her personal struggles to celebrate her son Brayden’s ninth birthday on Tuesday, August 20.

Christina, known for her show “Christina on the Coast,” is also a mom to daughter Taylor, whom she shares with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, and son Hudson, 4, from her second marriage to Ant Anstead.

As Brayden celebrated his milestone, his stepmother Heather Rae Young, who is married to Tarek and shares son Tristan with him, took to Instagram to honor her “bonus son.”

Heather, a former “Selling Sunset” star, shared a collection of photos of Brayden over the years. She and Tarek began dating in 2019 when Brayden was nearly four years old. The series of images began with a selfie of them at the beach.

Another photo in the collection showed Brayden looking very grown up in a tuxedo with his younger half-brother Tristan, along with more heartfelt selfies of him and Heather.

“Can’t believe my handsome bonus son is 9 today,” she wrote in her caption. “When I met you, you were still running around in diapers and you have grown up to be a strong-willed, lovable, funny boy.”

Heather continued, “You make everyone around you laugh. You remind me so much of your daddy and I am so lucky that I get to be your stepmom,” ending with, “I love you so much Bray Bray. Happy birthday, love.”

Fans quickly took to the comments section on Heather’s post to praise their affectionate relationship. One user wrote, “The way you love on all your kiddos is so heartwarming,” while others added, “So sweet! Hope he has a wonderful birthday!” and “So sweet!!! I love this and how well you can all co-parent together.”

Christina also took to Instagram to pay tribute to her son, sharing a series of photos featuring Brayden and the family over the years.

She wrote, “I can’t believe my sweet guy is 9! I knew when I was pregnant with him that this kid would be my biggest protector and I wasn’t wrong.”

“At 9 he has more courage, wit, and humor than most grown men. I love our dates, laughs, and cuddles more than life. Happy Birthday Brayden, we love you,” Christina concluded.

As both families come together to celebrate Brayden, the moments shared on social media showcase the strength of their blended family and the love they have for each other.
