(CNN) — Actor Henry Cavill, known for his role in “Argyle,” and his girlfriend Natalie Viscuso have made the exciting announcement that they are expecting their first child together. Cavill shared the news during the New York premiere of “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare,” telling “Access Hollywood” that he is thrilled to expand his family.

Cavill expressed his excitement, stating, “I’m very excited about this. Natalie and I are very excited about this. I’m sure you’ll see a lot more of that.”

The couple, who have been together for several years, made their first public appearance on a red carpet in October 2022. They confirmed their relationship on Instagram in April 2021 with matching photos of them playing chess, with Cavill referring to Viscuso as “my beautiful, brilliant love Natalie.”

Viscuso also shared her excitement, captioning her post with, “teaching my dear Henry how to play chess… or… maybe he let me win?”
