Inside Princess Anne and Timothy Laurence’s Controversial Wedding

The wedding gown from her first wedding remains one of Princess Anne’s most memorable outfits. However, the two-piece ensemble she wore during her nuptials to Sir Timothy Laurence is equally stunning in its elegant simplicity. The cream-colored outfit featured a cardigan-style jacket over a high-necked, knee-length dress. Princess Anne wore her hair down in a flower-adorned beehive, accessorizing her look with black shoes and a bouquet of Scottish heather.

Photos from the event showcase that the rest of the royal family also turned out in style, dressed suitably for the Scottish weather. Queen Elizabeth II and the Queen Mother both wore monochrome outfits featuring coats, with the former dressed in green and the latter in blue. Eleven-year-old Zara Tindall (nee Phillips), serving as a bridesmaid for her mother, wore a red coat over a black dress, her hair neatly pulled back.

Meanwhile, Sir Timothy Laurence looked dashing in his Royal Navy officer uniform. Both Peter Phillips, Anne’s son, and King Charles III, Anne’s brother, donned traditional kilts, adding a touch of regal authenticity to the celebration. Prince Albert, Duke of Edinburgh, and his other two sons also appeared handsome in their formal attire.

Due to her recent separation from King Charles, Princess Diana was notably absent from the event. However, she reportedly sent her best wishes to the bride and groom.
