Jennifer Lopez recently made headlines for leaving a generous tip during her visit to a Hamptons ice cream shop. The 54-year-old singer and actress stopped by A La Mode in East Hampton over the Fourth of July weekend. According to a report by Page Six, Lopez enjoyed a mini cone with sprinkles and exhibited a friendly demeanor, leaving a $50 tip for the staff. She was accompanied by her 16-year-old child, Emme.

This kind act followed another surprising moment when Lopez was seen flying coach on an Air France flight from Italy to France. Photos captured by TMZ showed the star in a window seat on a plane traveling from Naples to Paris on June 22.

The “Hustlers” actor spent Independence Day in the famed vacation spot on Long Island, New York. Lopez shared a celebratory post on Instagram on July 4, posing beside a lavender field. Dressed in a white and blue striped blouse, beige trousers, sandals, and a straw hat, she stood among yellow flowers and picked red ones in another photo. “Happy Fourth,” she captioned, adding a red rose, a white heart, and an American flag emoji.

Lopez also made an appearance at the LoveShackFancy boutique in Sag Harbor, New York, shopping for summer dresses with her stepdaughter, Violet Affleck, on July 12. According to Women’s Wear Daily, both Lopez and Violet were described as “very kind and very friendly” during their shopping spree.

Despite these public outings, rumors about marital troubles between Lopez and her husband Ben Affleck have been circulating. Various media sources have reported that the couple, who married in 2022 after rekindling their romance two decades later, may be facing challenges. As recently as July 11, the couple listed their $68 million Beverly Hills mansion as Affleck rented a home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The speculation about a rift intensified when fans noted that Lopez and Affleck hadn’t been seen together for over 40 days. Multiple sources have claimed that the couple is experiencing issues in their marriage. Lopez has also been visible solo at several events, such as promoting her Netflix film “Atlas” and attending the 2024 Met Gala.

Adding fuel to the fire, Lopez canceled her “This Is Me… Live” summer tour to spend more time with her family. In May, she addressed fans, expressing her devastation over the cancellation. “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary,” she said, promising to make it up to her fans. Live Nation stated that the decision was for Lopez to focus on her children, family, and close friends.

Despite the rumors, a source told People on June 11 that Lopez and Affleck remain on amicable terms. “They’re still friendly and see each other every few days,” the source said.

Lopez and Affleck reunited in early 2021 after Lopez’s split from former New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez. They announced their engagement in April 2022, 20 years after their first engagement in 2002, which ended in 2004. The couple married in July 2022 during an intimate Las Vegas ceremony, followed by a second celebration at Affleck’s home in Georgia one month later.

Affleck was previously married to actor Jennifer Garner in 2005, and they have three children together: Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12. They separated in 2015 and finalized their divorce in October 2018. Lopez, on the other hand, shares 16-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
