Judge rules Manhattan DA can question Trump about Carroll accusations and fraud allegations

A judge in New York ruled that Manhattan prosecutors can question former President Trump about several civil lawsuits if he testifies in his ongoing criminal trial. The rulings include defamation against E. Jean Carroll, fraud in property values manipulation cases, violating gag orders, and a lawsuit against his foundation. However, certain “bad acts” cannot be brought up, according to the judge. Trump is not obligated to testify, and his legal team must decide if he will take the stand. Prosecutors argue that mentioning these civil cases is relevant to damage Trump’s credibility. The trial revolves around falsifying business records in a hush money deal with an adult film actress before the 2016 election.
