Kate Middleton Reveals Prince George’s Love for Queen After Jubilee Concert

The Princess of Wales has shared that Prince George is a fan of the British rock band Queen. The ten-year-old’s interest was sparked when he saw them perform at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace in 2022, celebrating 70 years of the reign of Queen Elizabeth.

At the Jubilee, American singer Adam Lambert, 42, took on the role of lead singer, replacing Freddie Mercury, and joined Queen’s Brian May, 76, and Roger Taylor, 74, on stage. The band performed a medley of their greatest hits, which captivated the Royal Family with their lively presentation.

Adam Lambert spoke with Princess Kate during last year’s Christmas Carol Service at Westminster Abbey. According to Lambert, Kate mentioned that George, the second in line to the throne, had developed a particular fondness for Queen’s music. Lambert expressed his excitement, noting, “It was such an honor. I got to meet Princess Kate, which was fabulous. She was absolutely lovely, down-to-earth, and charming.”

Kate recounted how George had recalled the Jubilee performance, mistaking who was playing the guitar but remembering Lambert. George’s burgeoning taste for rock music is evident as Prince William previously revealed that George enjoys music from AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. He made this statement during a surprise meet and greet event last year.

During this event, William and Kate mingled with Big Lunch attendees during a spontaneous walkabout in Windsor. Caroline Mulvihill, from the Rock Choir in Windsor and Maidenhead, had a conversation with William, who shared that their household has diverse musical tastes, especially noting George’s preferences for AC/DC and Led Zeppelin.

Prince William has also mentioned that his children, including George, Charlotte, and Louis, are fans of house DJ Jax Jones. Jones, 36, and the Prince of Wales, 42, met during the late Queen’s Jubilee celebrations at Buckingham Palace. William told Jones that his children love his music.

Jax Jones, whose real name is Timucin Lam, gained fame after collaborating on the number one hit “I Got U” with Duke Dumont. During the Jubilee, Jones performed and later joked about possibly playing at one of the Wales children’s birthday parties. Speaking to HELLO!, Jones recalled meeting the Prince of Wales and their conversation about his children’s musical preferences.

The British DJ and the Royal Family have also developed a working relationship. The Prince and Princess of Wales have engaged with Jones to help connect with young people around the UK. This initiative is part of Kate’s Early Childhood Campaign, for which Jones has been appointed as an ambassador. Jones described the beginning of their relationship during the Jubilee and how they later brainstormed ideas at Windsor Castle. He praised the royal couple for being welcoming and focused on making positive societal contributions.

Jones, who is a father to daughter Lawanna, admitted he was nervous meeting the royal couple for the first time. He was particularly concerned about addressing them correctly but found that they made him feel comfortable. They shared a productive meeting discussing the campaign’s goals.

In related news, the Princess of Wales has emphasized that her early years campaign is not just about raising children but also about shaping society and fostering a nurturing environment. Her campaign aims to create a more compassionate world for future generations.
