Kelly Ripa Dons Playful Ruffles & Polka Dots for Disney Legends Awards

Kelly Ripa was among the distinguished guests honored at the Disney Legends award ceremony during the D23 convention in Anaheim, Calif., on Sunday. Ripa’s contributions to Disney were celebrated alongside Oscar winners John Williams, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Angela Bassett.

For the occasion, Ripa wore a look courtesy of Michael Kors Collection. The midi dress featured ruffled cap sleeves and an allover black-and-white polka-dot pattern with a black base and white polka dots. The dress was made of silk georgette fabric. Ripa completed her look with white heels.

During the D23 event, Ripa was honored by former “Live!” cohost Ryan Seacrest. “You truly are the definition of a legend,” Seacrest said during his remarks. A video tribute for Ripa also played during the ceremony, featuring commentary from Seacrest and Ripa’s husband and current “Live” cohost Mark Consuelos.

Consuelos joined Ripa in the audience during the presentation. His attire coordinated with Ripa’s. He wore a tailored suit with black blazer and trousers, a crisp white button-down shirt, and a black tie.

Ripa was among a bevy of guests who attended the D23 Disney Legends ceremony. Bassett made an appearance in a matching pink set with coordinated trousers and strapless top with a regal spin.

Miley Cyrus also attended the event wearing an Alexander McQueen suit with sinuous heavy metal embellishments.

The D23 Disney Legends ceremony celebrated individuals who’ve left a lasting impact on Disney’s legacy. “The Disney Legends Award is the highest honor our company bestows,” Disney chief executive officer Bob Iger said.

“It’s presented as a celebration of talent, a recognition of achievement, and, above all, a sincere expression of our deep gratitude. Disney Legends are bound by the special place they have earned in our history for their tremendous contributions in service of entertaining and delighting fans around the globe.”

The Disney Legends Awards Ceremony will be available to stream exclusively on Disney+ on Monday at 5 p.m. ET.
