Actor Chris Hemsworth recently revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight about his interest in a film project directed by Kevin Costner. Despite his efforts to convince Costner to cast him, Hemsworth was ultimately rejected for the role. The project, which Hemsworth describes as “abstract and interesting,” focuses on the complex relationship between a man and a woman. Hemsworth was particularly drawn to the role because it involved horses, something he and his wife Elsa Pataky are passionate about.
During the interview, Hemsworth shared his experience of reading a script that he loved and wanted to be a part of, only to discover that Costner had already been cast in the lead role. Hemsworth tried for an hour to persuade Costner to reconsider, but Costner ultimately made it clear that he had already made his decision. Hemsworth joked about the situation, saying, “I would love to have him as a director. I was like, ‘Damn!'”
Despite his efforts, Hemsworth ultimately did not get the role. He expressed his disappointment at not being able to work with Costner on the project. Hemsworth, known for his role as Thor in the Marvel Studios films, was excited about the opportunity but understands that sometimes things don’t work out as planned in the entertainment industry.
