During day 6 of former President Trump’s criminal trial for hush money, David Pecker, a veteran tabloid editor, testified about the “catch-and-kill” arrangement he made with Trump and Michael Cohen during the 2016 election. Pecker described how they bought and buried stories to help Trump’s campaign. This included buying a false story about Trump fathering a child and using the tabloid to promote negative stories about Trump’s opponents.
