Kid Rock Shares Profane Message After Trump Shooting

Kid Rock reacted strongly to the assassination attempt on Donald Trump with a blunt and expletive-filled warning on social media. In a shirtless selfie video, he declared, “You fuck with Trump, you fuck with me,” and posted it on his Instagram profile.

The right-wing musician has recently described Trump as one of his “besties” during a wild interview published in Rolling Stone in May. The interview illustrated Kid Rock’s transition from party rocker to a fervent MAGA supporter. His antics during the interview, such as waving a gun, add to his history of controversial behavior and comments.

The incident at Trump’s campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, had tragic outcomes. One person was killed, and Trump, along with two others, was wounded when a shooter opened fire at the event. The gunman, whose motives are still under investigation, was fatally shot by Secret Service agents at the scene.

This act led to widespread condemnation and calls for calm from top elected officials, including President Joe Biden. Trump himself has also called for unity in his comments following the attack.

Other musicians have weighed in on the shooting as well. Soulja Boy expressed disbelief, writing, “Ain’t no way they just shot at Trump.” Dave Matthews, during a show in Virginia, commented, “That’s no way to behave. My condolences to the family of the people who were hurt, but good grief man, that’s no way to run a democracy, that’s no way to be part of a democracy.” His remarks were shared in a video posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Rich, one half of the country music duo Big & Rich, delved into conspiracy theories, writing, “They couldn’t beat him in a fair contest, so they tried to kill him. BUT THEY MISSED.”

Rapper Nicki Minaj also appeared to comment on the incident, simply posting “WTF” shortly after the shooting.
