La Nube, El Paso’s premier learning and discovery center, will be opening to the public on Saturday, August 10, 2024. The final phases of construction are being completed, interactive exhibits are being installed, and educational programs are being developed in preparation for the grand opening. Several soft openings will also be held for staff recruitment and training to ensure a top-notch guest experience for the public.
This momentous event represents the culmination of years of dedication and collaboration, aiming to enrich the lives of families and individuals in the El Paso community and beyond. The impressive four-story cloud-inspired structure will be the creative hub of downtown El Paso, offering state-of-the-art facilities and immersive exhibits across 70,000 square feet (6,500 square meters) dedicated to revolutionizing learning in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics). La Nube will provide hands-on learning, experimentation, and play for all ages.
Stephanie Otero, Vice President of Operations at the El Paso Community Foundation and Interim Director of La Nube, expressed her excitement for the upcoming grand opening. “We are thrilled to announce the opening of La Nube. El Paso will soon be home to the largest world-class children’s museum and science center, serving as a beacon for STEAM education and promoting inclusion and accessibility for all.”
