Latest Update on Saraya’s AEW Contract Ahead of All In Event

Former AEW Women’s World Champion Saraya is navigating her real-life contract situation ahead of the All In pay-per-view at Wembley Stadium. Fightful Select reports that Saraya might become a free agent in a few months. She debuted for AEW in 2022 after a mandatory retirement due to a neck injury in December 2017 and left WWE in July 2022 when her contract was not renewed.

Fightful mentions that Saraya’s current deal with AEW runs through at least September, with potential option years creating some internal debate. There’s confusion about which party holds the option rights. Talks between Saraya and AEW are ongoing, aiming to extend her deal for another year, whether through a new contract or by exercising one of the option years.

In September 2023, Saraya revealed in an interview that Paul “Triple H” Levesque reached out to her after her WWE contract expired, expressing regret that he was unaware of her contract’s status under WWE’s previous regime. He also told her that if she wanted to wrestle again, she would have the opportunity. Although Saraya doesn’t yet have a match at All In on August 25 in London, Fightful reports she is scheduled to appear.

Moreover, Saraya is set to face “Timeless” Toni Storm in a women’s title match on “AEW Dynamite” in Cardiff, Wales, following her grievances aired on “AEW Rampage” about “skipped over” opportunities.
