Latto is making it clear once and for all, Lil Kim is the greatest female rapper of all time — but rest assured, she’s determined to chase the Queen Bee’s legacy!
The Notorious K.I.M. received her accolades from Latto during a sit-down with Complex. However, Latto’s best friend, Brooklyn Nikole — who also has caught the eye of Drake — passionately declared that her bestie is the G.O.A.T.
So, do we have a G.O.A.T. showdown?
Latto didn’t shy away from expressing her confidence, especially after the well-received release of her “Sugar Honey Iced Tea” album last week. But she admitted, realistically, Kim is ahead of her in the rap rankings.
G.O.A.T. debate settled.
Latto and Kim crossed paths a couple of years ago, but the Atlanta rapper initially entered the scene singing Nicki Minaj‘s praises, pointing to her as a career inspiration.
It’s intriguing that she’s now elevating Nicki’s long-time rival, especially considering the major fallout between Latto and Nicki in 2022, complete with subliminal diss tracks.
Latto’s dedication to her craft is unmistakable. She recently appeared on Spotify’s RapCaviar podcast, sharing with Sexyy Red and Flo Milli her views that women are bringing much-needed diversity to the hip hop scene, while many male rappers are sticking to the basics.
This sentiment has been echoed for some time, but Joe Budden has been closely watching, anticipating the women’s impact on the hip hop industry.
