Leader of MS-13 gang convicted of creating “hunting ground” in D.C. area sentenced to life imprisonment

Gang leader Melvin Canales Saldana, also known as “Demente,” ordered the killings, resulting in multiple deaths. Canales was sentenced to life in prison for his role. The gang, originating in Los Angeles but based in El Salvador, has thousands of members across the U.S. and is involved in various illegal activities. The Department of Justice has created a task force to target MS-13, resulting in hundreds of convictions. They are offering rewards for the capture of top gang leaders.
