Man and dog vanish in Grand Canyon while reportedly using homemade raft on Colorado River

A man and his dog are missing after seemingly taking a homemade raft on the river through the Grand Canyon, identified as Thomas L. Robinson from Santa Fe, New Mexico. Robinson left his vehicle at Lees Ferry, a popular launch point for whitewater rafting trips. The raft, made of long planks, a paddle, and a life vest, was believed to be used by Robinson. A missing persons investigation is ongoing, with Robinson described as a 5’10” White man with a brown hair and hazel eyes, along with an 11-year-old Welsh Corgi. The Colorado River is known for whitewater rafting and runs through the Grand Canyon, deepening and widening along the national landmark.
